Field Master 'Putamee, a creature called an Elite, looked out of the half-opened hatch of the small drop ship at the ground below.  It was so quiet in the large plain.  He turned to look at his team of highly trained Elites, each one bearing a light-bending camouflage and an energy sword.  The drop ship descended until it was approximately one meter off the ground and 'Putamee hopped down.  He activated his camouflage and scanned the area while the other nine Elites did the same.  He found nothing and motioned his team forward.  They moved at a steady pace until they found a large building that had been constructed in a mountain many years before.  The group of nine-foot tall Elites silently moved inside and disappeared in the shadows.
The ten Elites walked along the empty corridors, looking for any hostiles as they went.  "I think I saw something," whispered one of the younger Elites.
"Keep your weapons on hand," Field Master 'Putamee ordered.  He searched through the darkness for any signs of movement.  He grabbed his energy sword but did not activate it; he didn't want to alert enemies of his presence.  He smelled a fleshy stench and switched his energy sword for his plasma pistol.  He backed away from the rest of the team and began overcharging his pistol.  He spotted an armed human and fired.  The powerful blast of superheated plasma knocked the unlucky marine off his feet.  The passage was engulfed in plasma and brass bullets as the marines and Elites opened fire on each other.  The room fell into silence as the last marine fell.  'Putamee looked at the surviving Elites.  He counted them and wiped the red blood of the humans from his lower mandibles.  The filed Master waved the other seven Elites forward towards the door at the end of the long corridor.  "Careful, there might be other humans waiting to ambush us."  A veteran Elite nodded and began unlocking the door.  It opened and the Elites moved in.  The veteran Elite walked towards 'Putamee.
"There's nothing left in here," said the veteran.  "Should we waste time searching when the humans are probably sending in reinforcements?"
Before 'Putamee could reply, the opposite door burst open and a volley of grenades were thrown into the room, followed by a barrage of bullets.  The Elites backed away from the door and got their weapons ready.  "Retreat!" barked 'Putamee.  He backed into the door, firing all the way.  He hastily opened the door and rushed inside.  He turned to look at the rest of his Elites.  "Fall back!" he ordered.  He ran to the door on the opposite end of the corridor and hid in the shadows again while the other Elites followed.
The more experienced Elites slaughtered the marines and had the drop ship pick them up to take them home.
I wrote this in May of 2005 for my English class. I was in seventh grade. I left all the odd sentences in there. Even though it's rather old and not the best, I still like this one quite a bit. I like how I went "Oh right, I need to give it an ending!" and just tacked that sentence on.

Comments written on it from the teacher were:
"I love how you just put the reader in the middle of a situation!"
and
"I love your stuff!"

This teacher also thought that this cat I drew with blood dripping from his muzzle was cute. Best English teacher ever. :meow:
